Hailing from New Jersey, Juliano-Villani uses everyday objects and familiar environments to depict moral dilemmas and personal visions. Her paintings reference both the old and the new – and are composed in forms of collage masochistically. The viewer may experience some sort of anxiety when seeing these images that are simultaneously surreal and prosaic.
